Safety Covers

Below are the safety covers and colours available. All photos on this page are from our manufacturer. Visually, all the cover types look very similar and the main difference is their function, strength and cost. The most popular choices are standard mesh cover, or the bloc mesh 99 if you want to have less algae growth during opening season. Standard mesh cover: Porous, high quality mesh, reinforced straps. Economical price point. Colours:

Bloc mesh 99: Porous, tighter woven high quality mesh that blocks 99% of sunlight, prohibiting algae growth, reinforced straps. Higher price point.

Colours:

Deck-lock aquamaster: Non-porous, tight woven mesh made of a tarp-like material that blocks sunlight and prohibits algae growth, reinforced straps. Has a mesh drain in the center to prevent water build-up from weighing the cover down. Covered in a fade and stain resistant coating. Up to 70% stronger than standard mesh and weighs up to 50% less than other vinyl covers. Higher price point.

Colours:

Vinyl deck-lock solid: Non-porous, tight woven mesh made of a tarp-like material just like the deck-lock aquamaster, but it is also coated in vinyl webbing that blocks sunlight and prevents algae growth. Has a mesh drain in the middle to prevent water build-up from weighing the cover down. Strongest and most protective cover, but also quite heavy. Highest price point.

Shown below are photo comparisons of the Standard Mesh and Bloc 99 mesh colours, also showing the difference between the amount of sunlight that passes through each type of cover. The Bloc 99 noticeably allows less light through, which helps minimize algae growth during the time which the pool is closed, making opening the pool much easier in the springtime.
